Marketing preferences
How to control the promotional email you receive from Mint Choc Media, and what stays unaffected.

Two different things
Marketing preferences control promotional emails from us. They are separate from cookie preferences, which control technologies used on your device or browser.
You can say yes to one and no to the other. Changing one does not change the other. Cookie preferences can be opened from the link in the footer of this website.
Promotional marketing
Promotional marketing means occasional emails about Meta and Shopify acquisition, and updates about what we do. It is optional. We do not add anyone to it automatically because they bought something, submitted an enquiry or applied for a service.
Where you have opted in, you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, or by emailing us.
Service communications continue
Opting out of promotional marketing does not stop communications we need to send in order to do the work or run the business. Those include:
- order confirmations and receipts
- requests for account access or information
- delivery of Audit findings and related documents
- responses to applications and enquiries
- project and account communications
- billing
- important contractual, legal or security notices
These are not marketing and are not subject to marketing consent.
How to change your preferences
Use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email we have sent you. That is the fastest route and it is honoured automatically.
If you cannot find one, or you want to check what we hold, email robert@mintchocmedia.com with the address concerned and we will action it and confirm.
We keep a record of opt-outs so that an address is not added back later. Submitting another form on this website does not resubscribe you.
Business contacts
UK marketing rules distinguish between corporate subscribers, such as limited companies, and individual subscribers, such as sole traders and some partnerships. Where we cannot reliably tell which applies to an address, we take the more conservative approach.
Sign-up through this website is always explicit opt-in.
Your data protection rights
You can object to direct marketing at any time, and you have further rights over your personal data. These are set out in our Privacy Policy.
