Meta + Shopify acquisition diagnostics

Your Meta ads may not be the problem.

If performance is slipping, the leak could be anywhere between the ad and the sale. We find where it's breaking, and what to fix first.

£650 · about 5 working days · credited in full against a Recovery Sprint booked within 7 days

We find what's costing your Shopify store sales, then fix the highest-impact problems first.

  • Shopify ecommerce only
  • Meta-first acquisition
  • UK & US brands
  • Direct access to the people doing the work

Same symptom. Different cause.

One drop in performance. Eleven possible reasons.

Most brands react to the symptom. Cut budgets, swap creative, change campaigns or blame the agency. But if you fix the wrong thing, the real constraint stays exactly where it is.

  • Campaign structure
  • Tracking
  • Pixel / CAPI
  • Attribution
  • Creative fatigue
  • Product / category selection
  • Catalogue setup
  • Prospecting
  • Retargeting
  • Shopify conversion
  • Acquisition economics

The first job isn't optimisation. It's finding the constraint.

How it works

In five days, you'll know what to fix first.

No blind changes. No drawn-out discovery. We diagnose the account using the data you already have, then show you what deserves attention first.

  1. 01Access

    Give us read-only access.

Meta Ads, Pixel/CAPI, Shopify analytics and catalogue. Nothing gets changed.

    Day 0

  2. 02Diagnose

We work through the five possible failure points.

Your Meta data is reconciled against what Shopify actually recorded.

    Days 1–4

  3. 03Prioritise

You get the leaks ranked by impact.

    P1 / P2 / P3 findings, a 30-day action plan and a 45–60 minute walkthrough.

    Day 5

  4. 04Decide

    You choose what happens next.

Fix it internally, hand the plan to your team, or bring us in to implement it.

The five diagnostic areas

Five places performance can break.

A tracking issue can look like bad creative. A pricing problem can look like poor targeting. That's why we diagnose the whole system, not one dashboard in isolation.

One failure can disguise another.

  1. 01

    Economics

Can your customer economics actually support profitable acquisition?

  2. 02

    Measurement

Can the Meta and Shopify data be trusted?

  3. 03

    Media

Is budget being deployed through the right campaign structure?

  4. 04

    Creative

Are the ads themselves holding performance back?

  5. 05

    Funnel

Is Shopify losing customers after the click?

The deliverable

What lands in your inbox on day five.

Every issue mapped to one of the five diagnostic areas, ranked by priority, and tied to a clear next action.

How findings are presented

  • Every finding ranked P1, P2 or P3
  • Evidence attached to each finding
  • A 30-day action plan in execution order
  • Clear ownership: your team or ours
  • 45–60 minute walkthrough of the findings

The structure is fixed. The findings are specific to your account. No example results are shown here.

Why this isn't a free audit

A free audit is a sales document. This is a diagnosis.

The free agency audit

Your current provider is bad. You should hire us.

Written to win a retainer, so it has to find problems. And the recommended fix is always the agency that wrote it.

The Revenue Leak Audit

What is actually happening?

You pay for the analysis, not a pitch. So the finding can be whatever the data supports.

Conclusions we are willing to reach and put in writing:

  • Meta isn't your main problem
  • The creative is the constraint
  • The tracking is wrong and the reporting can't be trusted
  • The website is losing traffic you're already paying for
  • The unit economics don't support the CPA you need
  • Your current agency is doing a decent job

Evidence

Results, once they can be shown properly.

Whitelabel and NDA work can't always be published. Verified case studies will be added here as permission allows.

In preparation

Case studies in preparation

Rather than publish invented numbers or borrowed logos, this stays empty until there is permissioned evidence to put in it. Ask on the findings call if you want to discuss relevant work before then.

Who you actually work with

Specialist delivery. No account-management layer.

Mint Choc Media is led by Rob Stevenson. We buy Meta and Google media for Shopify brands: art and home, jewellery, food, beauty, wellness and consumer products. We work directly with brands, and on a whitelabel basis for other agencies.

That second part is why the case study section is emptier than the work behind it. A good deal of what we do carries someone else's name on it.

Where a job needs a specialist we don't keep in-house, such as creative production, UGC or video editing, we bring one in. You still deal with the people analysing the account, making the decisions and producing the work. There is no account-management layer between you and delivery.

  • The people who analyse your account are the people who manage it
  • No handover to a junior after you sign
  • A direct line to the people doing the work, not a ticket queue
  • A deliberately small number of accounts at any one time

Fit

This is a specialised service, so it suits some brands and not others.

Being upfront saves everyone a wasted week.

Designed for

  • Established Shopify ecommerce store
  • Roughly £3,000 per month or more on Meta
  • Proven, meaningful customer demand
  • Enough history to diagnose reliably
  • Willing to grant read access

Not the right time

  • Pre-revenue or newly launched stores
  • Products without demonstrated demand
  • Budgets too small to read reliably
  • Anyone looking for a guaranteed ROAS figure
  • Situations where data access can't be provided

The right-hand list is about timing, not ambition. The diagnosis needs enough advertising history to read. Without it, any conclusion we gave you would be guesswork dressed up as analysis.

Questions

Before you buy.

What access do you need?

Read access to your Meta Ads account, the Pixel and dataset, Shopify analytics, and the catalogue if you run catalogue campaigns. Nothing is changed during an Audit. It is analysis only.

Do you guarantee a ROAS improvement?

No, and be suspicious of anyone who does. What you are guaranteed is an honest read of the data and a prioritised plan. Sometimes the honest answer is that the account is fine and the constraint is elsewhere.

We already have an agency. Is this awkward?

It doesn't have to be. An independent diagnosis is useful precisely because it has no stake in the answer, including the possibility that your agency is doing good work and the problem sits somewhere they don't control.

How does the £650 credit work?

Book a Sprint within 7 days of your Audit and the full £650 comes off, leaving £2,300. Applied manually when scope is agreed, so there is no code to enter.

Why is the Sprint an application rather than a checkout?

Because scope is agreed before work starts. A Sprint is fourteen days on three specific workstreams, and which three depends on what the account needs. That has to be a conversation.

Do you work outside Shopify?

The Audit and Sprint are built around Shopify, and much of the tracking and catalogue work is Shopify-specific. On another platform, get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.

Where are you based?

Mint Choc Media is a UK-registered company. We work remotely across UK and US brands, with calls scheduled to suit your timezone.
